I have ALWAYS been against the idea of abortion, but in my entire life I never saw the issue clearer than I did this morning. It was on my mind as I awoke, for some unknown reason, an hour before the alarm clock went off. First of all, I am not one of those people who votes solely based n a candidates position on abortion. But in last night's debate, the talk about abortion really got to me. I guess it woke me up, because as groggy as I was at 6:30am, my mind went straight to the issue, and . . . well, this is what I was thinking:
1)Where's the COMPASSION? I heard Barack Husein Obama tell "Joe the Plumber" how he wants to make sure "people behind you have a chance at success." Well what about that unborn baby's chance at success? Promote the idea of taking money from Peter to give to Paul, but God forbid you give an innocent baby a chance at drawing ONE BREATH!
2)Life for Charles Manson, DEATH TO BABIES! How much sense does it make to fight for a convicted murderer's right to live, but stand so staunch in support of killing babies?
3)Abortion should not be considered a means of birth control. Here's a crazy idea: ever hear of a condom?
4)TREE HUGGERS UNITE! Fight for the spotted owl! Fight for the polar bear! Fight for the polar ice caps! Recycle! Plant a tree! But kill the babies? That makes perfect sense.
5)Health care for the babies born alive after FAILED abortion attempts. How does a baby, born alive, not have a right to health care? Because the INTENT was to abort we are going to now extend the mother's right to choose to KILL a baby that is no longer dependent on her, but is living and breathing outside of her womb? Barack Obama voted against, and fought against a bill that would have made it illegal to just throw a live baby in a trash can, or left on a cold stainless steel table to die. That is sooooo callous.
6)Here's another CRAZY THOUGHT: "The State" routinely places children in foster homes, and pays the foster parents for the raising of that child. If I had to choose between the two, I would rather work harder and be taxed to pay for a baby to have a CHANCE TO LIVE in a family that wants it, than to fund an abortion for a mother that was usually too lazy or disciplined enough to prevent the pregnancy to begin with. Don't want the baby? Fine. Have the baby and sign it away. People are standing in line, people who can't have children, people who would be loving parents . . . every baby needs the CHANCE AT SUCCESS that the people "behind Joe the Plumber" have.
If you can promote the election of a man who promotes the death penalty for the unborn, YOU'RE the one who won't be able to sleep. Search your conscience, reject DEATH and vote for LIFE!
